Services
I offer individual sessions in-person and online, for a range of presenting difficulties. These might include: depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement and grief, complex trauma and PTSD, low self-esteem, neurodiversity, disordered eating and addiction, gender, sexuality and relationship difficulties. I have experience working in these areas and others, so please get in touch and we can talk through what you are looking to explore through psychotherapy. Clients can attend twice-weekly or weekly sessions depending on their specific needs.
As a first step, I suggest an introductory 20-minute Zoom or telephone call where we can explore the help that you want and how we might work together. I do not charge for this call. Please email me at letticia.therapy@gmail.com so we can arrange this.

Gender identity affirmative therapy
I offer a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space for people to freely explore their gender identity.
I completed a training placement at CliniQ, a holistic sexual health, mental health and wellbeing service for all trans people, partners, family and friends. Since then, I have worked in private practice with trans people for 8 years.
I am registered on the Gendered Intelligence therapist database: https://genderedintelligence.co.uk/therapists/letticia-banton
My masters research explored the lived experiences of heterosexual cross-dressing men.
Menstruality
‘Menstruality’ is a concept coined by the menstrual educator Jane Catherine Severn (2005) that informs my work. It captures the holistic day-to-day lived experience of having a menstrual cycle, including the emotional and embodied aspects beyond its reproductive functionality, symptoms, and pathologies.
My doctoral research is on the menstrual cycle in psychotherapy. In addition to long-term psychotherapy, I am passionate about supporting people with these experiences and offer short-term focused psychological and psychotherapeutic consultations centred around the menstrual cycle and menopause, with space to explore holistic aspects, including emotional, physical, relational and existential dimensions.
Please email me if you would like to find out more and discuss further.
