About the therapist
Biography
My motivation and passion as a psychotherapist and psychologist are rooted in my own experience of therapy. I recognised the value and significance of having a confidential therapeutic space to talk freely and feel seen, within a holding and trusting relationship.
As a young adult, I was drawn to voluntary roles that involved working with facing emotional, mental or relational challenges, including as a Samaritans’ Listener. I discovered a sense of fulfilment through working with someone in a one-to-one capacity, to help them overcome challenges and make positive change in their lives.
Based on this experience and my curiosity for learning, I pursued psychology and psychotherapy as a career. I studied and trained part-time for a decade, first at Birbeck University of London (MSc Psychological Sciences) then at the Metanoia Institute (Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Integrative Psychotherapy), while working as a strategy director in the corporate world along the way. As an undergraduate I read history at the University of Oxford.
Clinical experience, training and qualifications
I have a decade of clinical experience working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds who have faced different difficulties in life and experience a range of difficulties to their sense of Self and mental wellbeing.
